380 bis 780 nm Extraklasse

You can browse here the Catalogue of my works shown 2023 at the New Castle of Herrenchiemsee, as well as a review of the whole exhibition by all artists.

The poster for the event shows a combination of the unfinished historic part of the building and the large amount of colors humans are able to see (Entwurf: MC von Liebe). Since the title of the exhibition refers to the 380 bis 780 nm wavelenghts of light that we optically translate into color.

Next to different positions in color painting a number of sculptures were presented.

The exhibition should predominantly color painting (next to sculptures).
The great variety of works showed the diversity within this art style – from abstract expressionism to monochromes and color field painting.
Some of the exhibiting artist took classes with Prof. Jerry Zeniuk and Ingrid Floss at different academies. Zeniuk, being a main representative of this art movement, proclaimed that a conscious use of color in the pictorial space offers the viewer a room to enter, in a purely theoretical, optical way. Meanwhile time evolves and stops simultanously. The basics to this mental and aesthetic experience is color and it’s power.
