Im Zentrum meines künstlerischen Schaffens steht eine Malerei aus der reinen Farbe.
Die Auseinandersetzung mit Farbe und Raum, mit der physischen Präsenz der Farbe auf der Bildoberfläche, bildet das Gegenstück zur visuellen und gedanklichen Erweiterung von Dimensionen.
Das Material soll Spannung und Ausdruck erzeugen sowie das Gefühl eines geografischen Lebensraums vermitteln. Es ist eine Einladung zur kontemplativen visuellen Wahrnehmung und eine Gelegenheit zum Nachdenken – eine Reflexion über das eigene Ich, darüber, wer wir sind, was wir tun und was uns umgibt. Die Landschaften auf meinen Leinwänden sind somit menschlich geprägt; sie entstehen durch uns – sowohl als Maler als auch als Betrachter.
The core of my artistic work is color painting. The confrontation with color and space, with the physical presence of the paint on the surface is the counterpart for widening the dimensions visually and mentally. The material shall add a tension, an expression, the sensation of a geographical living space. It is an invitation to a contemplated optical reception, an opportunity to a thinking act, reflecting the self, who we are, what we do and what surrounds us. The landscapes on my canvases are therefore human, made by us, as painter and as viewer.
